Drs Inlet Feed & Supply has been a local source for the best in pet food, toys and supplies for over 20 years in the Orange Park/Middleburg/Fleming Island area.

Owner Rebecca Hucks opened the store with a focus on larger animals, but over the years, the store has evolved to a specialty in holistic food for cats, dogs and birds as well.

Our cat Oreo just wasn't doing very well when we put him on their food. His fur was falling out and he wasn't grooming himself. After a few weeks on the holistic food, he began to groom himself again and his fur regained its shine and stopped falling out.

When I was in the store last month, a lady had driven all the way from Heckscher Drive (by the Zoo and a lo-ong way from Drs Inlet Feed & Supply!) for special kitten food for some babies she had rescued. Why did she drive so far? Because her mother used to come here, and she just prefers this store over others in the Jacksonville area, she said.

Holistic food costs more, but your pet will eat less and stay healthier.

Our almost three-year old Sheltie passed his teeth examination with flying colors when at the Vet this year, while his brothers have already had theirs cleaned. If you figure the hefty cost of putting a dog to sleep to clean their teeth, the food more than pays for itself.

Stop by for a visit - you might see the kitten playing among the food (if he's been 'bad', you might get a discount on your slightly damaged bag :).
