These are a Few of My Favorite Things

San Diego Safari Park Animals the replacement for is now active and for a while at least, the upgraded Pro version is free to all.

One of the things I missed the most about was that it had slide shows and collages. I logged in and registered ( not required) and wanted to see if the tools I wanted were there.

As you can see from the photo collage above titled " A Few of My Favorite Things", the collage feature is there. Thanks to Myrl Jeffcoat for letting all of us know this is now available.

There are several other good photo editing programs like and Use the one you like. But works very well and for those that loved, there is no distinguishable difference.

I enjoyed the collage, William!  Upon first glance of the polar bear, I thought for certain you had sneaked a picture of my dog, Kodi Bear.  They look so similar.

The little Koala Bear reminds me that I need to put seeing one of those on my bucket list, because thus far, I haven't had the opportunity.  I continue to be amazed at the quality the on-line photo editors produce.  It's been kind of a crazy summer, and I haven't been out there to roam around and take pictures as much as I'd like.  I see time coming up in about 3 weeks, when things will get back to a new normal, once again!

I also want to CONGRATULATE you on having this photoblog FEATURED in the Photos group!  I feel I've just had a visit to the zoo, without actually traveling there:-)

Super nice collage, William. Me too, I was such a big fan of Picnik. I read Myrl's post also and have been over to I'm thinking somehow somebodies graphic engine application must have gone public domain or something. Ribbit, iPiccy, PicMonkey, and a few other's I have looked at seem to have variations on the same toolbox.

Hi William - I have been using picmonkey since the demise of picnik, but it is lacking some of the stuff I used to use all athe time.  I took a quickl look at ipiccy, but haven't tried it yet.  It seemed to me not much different from picmonkey.  Thanks for the tip about ribbit.  I'll give it a try.

William... those are my favorite things too. I'm going to have to check into too.

There is so much I need to learn. I just wish I had more time to spend with all this new technology. You make it look so easy!

I have been using Ribbet since it finally started. I registered too so I could see if things were there that I needed. I'm very happy with it so far and it's really an exact copy of Picnik.

Thanks for your tips and your collage.  I have been using for photo editing and think that the quality of the end result is better than Picnik. is also free. It is good to have alternatives in case something happens to a service we are using.

Have a wonderful day and keep cool.

Glad to know that Picnik is continuing elsewhere...such a simple and easy tool, of course we would all miss it if it truly went away. Thanks for the information, now I can stick to what I love. :)

William--Ribbit will be almost as easy to remember as Picnik. :) I know I could try to learn my software but the online tools are so much more convenient. Thanks for sharing!

PS....Love the shot of the polar bear. Makes me think of the one that escaped from it's pen during the flooding in Duluth last week. She was found standing outside of it in the morning...Seals were in the street a few blocks away. All are now safe at my favorite local zoo at Como Park in St. Paul, until their habitats are reconstructed.

William, it's always such a visual treat to come to your blog! I was looking at your new Clairmont listing--lovely by the way--and went down to comment, then saw this title and HAD to come over here. I'm using iPiccy. I read (I think it was Mryl's blog) about Ribbit. I've gotten used to iPiccy which is quite similar to our reknown picnik (may it rest in peace).

These animals are all so delightful. What a feast for the eyes you give us--and really what fun! To take the photos, to share them--you are one lucky guy to have this at your fingertips (and in your neighborhood)!

(I went back to the nursery I enjoyed last year and found this photo of the local guy walking the parking lot as an official greeter).
