Why Buy in the Hawthorn Hills Neighborhood in Hendersonville NC?
I can give you my reasons. Over the years as a Realtor, and now as an assistant to Realtors, I love the chance to drive through this neighborhood.
By far, Hawthorn Hills is the most colorful community in Hendersonville. Entering the community from the east entrance, you come up on a small lake. As you drive by, you see reflections of whatever season we are in as you move past it.
Spring is blazing with blooms from dogwoods, wisteria and bulbs. Fall is burning in reds and oranges and yellows. Winters I love to drive back into the north side of Hawthorn Hills, and see tha long range views. And all year, the winding roads catch your eye as you see beautiful homes on large, open lots. It appears that early on, the community set out to plant with the future in mind, setting out trees and plants that set the neighborhood up for Sunday drives any time of the year.
Another thing I love about the Hawthorn Hills Neighborhood is the large lots. They average around an acre, some larger, some smaller, but all are nice open lots giving a feeling of spaciousness and room to move. This allows for a lot of creativity for the avid gardener, and there is a lot of creativity going on here.
The Hawthorn Hills Neighborhood was started in the early 1970's and building continued on into the late 1980's, so homes are older. But they were all very well built, and have held their value well over the years. No two homes are alike, each home having a completely unique feel. That is another plus for Hawthorn Hills.
Hawthorn Hills is located west of Historic Downtown Hendersonville, off of Highway 64. It has a rural setting and country feel, but is minutes from downtown, shopping and dining.
