Wickford RI 50th Anniversary Art Festival

July 8th 2012 in the historic coastal community of Wickford RI 02852.  It runs both on Saturday & Sunday from 10-6 pm.  It is run by the Wickford Art Association and now it is one of the oldest Art Festivals in the country.  In Rhode Island real estate we are proud to have this festival in our own backyard !

Hundreds of artists participate in this outdoor event and although there are spots for many of the Wickford Art Association members, other artists from around the world compete for the remaining spots- it’s a world class Art Festival.

The quality of artists’ works is superb.

Through the years, the Festival has remained true to its goal of providing local artists with a venue for exhibiting and selling their work. Interesting enough, Rhode Island has the most artists per capita of any state in the country and the makeup of the Wickford Art Festival exhibitors strongly reflects Rhode Island’s artistic heritage and talent.

It’s a true walking around event so bring your comfortable shoes and hats as well as sunscreen.  Parking and buses will be shuttling venue goers from nearby parks and schools.  The North Kingstown Chamber of Commerce located on Post Road right outside of Wickford center can provide more information on parking as well as local papers.

Wickford RI can be an awe inspiring location to visit- renowned for its Nantucket village look, Wickford waterfront historic homes, shopping, marinas and pleasant fare.

It’s my home town so I am impartial but it has a wonderful community and family atmosphere. So bring your friends and make it a day.
