We're all fascinated with the power of Google search and we spend countless hours trying to get a feel for how it works and how we can make it work for us. And every once in a while, we discover that Google search is much more complex and powerful than we have imagined. Such is the case with a recent story in BoingBoing.net - Search Masterclass.
Daniel Russell, a Google research scientist, showed an audience a picture of a random building in an unnamed city and asked the question, "What's the phone number of the office where this picture was snapped?"
It would be difficult enough to get the phone number of the building. But the phone number of the office where the photographer was standing when he took it? Seriously?
He then proceeded to describe how Google Search can be used to get the correct answer.
