Life is Good When You Notice You Didn't Notice What You Should Have Noticed

By
Real Estate Agent with DFW FINE PROPERTIES 0506509

Life is Good when you find something to smile about that you weren't even expecting. The plant in my photograph caught my attention, but it was the frog that made me laugh!

While I was out showing properties Tuesday morning, I noticed the beautiful flowers and quickly snapped a picture with my cell phone but it wasn't until after I got home and previewed my photo that I noticed there was a frog in the picture.

If that frog could talk, I'm sure he'd be saying, "Hey, what about me, what am I chopped liver?"

How many times do you overlook something or somebody equally important just because you were focusing on something else?

The life of a REALTOR is filled with surprises. Life is Good when you notice you didn't notice something else that was just as good, or even better.

Take time to notice everything today and I hope something makes you smile!

I was once told, you look, but you don't see. Then all the things that I wasn't seeing were pointed out. I took this as a learning moment. I could have taken the comment personally, but I knew the person that was saying, was sharing an important message. I never forget this learning.

Great post!

Good morning Patricia is that like you can't see the forest for the trees.  You are so observant I can't believe you actually missed Mr./Mrs. Frog.

Patricia,

There are far too many distractions all around us. Taking the time to slow down and look around, is great advice.

Patricia - that frog is adorable; I wonder where she got it. I love the picture and the thought! Sometimes we fail to see what's in front of our noses.

Patricia I love frogs, they are "good luck" and have lots of meaning.  I have many frogs in my gardens and two on my front entry.  This photo is priceless!  I too think that many times we look but do not see, or we listen but we do not hear, or we forget to remember what we have forgotten to remember.  Always food for thought in my book.

Toni summed it up quiet nicely.  I didn't want Debbie to put frogs around our backyard pond.  She informed me to get over it that they were desert frogs :)  Imagine that... LOL

Patricia,

I love this frog, and you are so right about missing things that right under our nose...We call it OBNOSIS, no we did not come up with this word not sure who did.  That is exactly why we travel to our client's market to see everything they are missing in their marketplace.  Nice post and I am suggesting.

Hi Patricia, that frog is just too adorable.  The photo of the flower is awesome and love the color.  We too often are in such a hurry that we miss perhaps some important things right in front of us.  I was out this morning walking my dog, had my phone with me and took some photos of the neighborhood.

Patricia,

What a great shot. The same thing happened to me the other day I was taking pictures of roses and low and behold when I posted the picture I noticed a bee on the flower so I can totally relate to your feeling about finding something unexpected. I hope you have a great day!

Nice Photo...

Sometimes in our hectic schedule we just zoom by.

Thanks for reminding me that we have to notice

what we should have noticed the first time, especially

as a Realtor.

Patricia - One of the most amazing things I have discovered in the last several years since I began blogging and taking more pictures, is that I see things that before I would have missed.  Sometimes they show up in my pictures, but often I'll see them at the time I'm photographing them.  I have gone through little gold rush towns of my childhood, which I saw nothing of significance, but now I see everything.  Photography forces us to engage life more closely!

Patricia, what a true gem to find so unexpectedly!     I remember once exploring the different bushes when a buyer was ready to write on a property, and snake came slithering out.    I almost ran them over to get out of the way.

Oh...Oh...OH GOODIE!!!  I just had to sit here and smile for any number of  minutes as I read your post with its (as always) great message...and caught the glimpse of the Frog peeking out to surprise you. THEN I got an idea...and so I want to ask you if you would consider creating an eBook for kids of all ages based on this series?? (I used to be an acquisitions editor for a small press--old habit die hard.)
