Meet Liz. She is a trained and certified Aesthetician at The Spa in Bells Corner. I have been going to The Spa at Bells Corner for several years. Liz has been my aesthetician for so many years that she knows my stories, has listened to my real estate rants and, in the past year, has been providing my husband with foot treatments. If you send family then that is a HIGH recommendation. I am here to say that so few people are allowed to touch His Nibs' SACRED FEET.
Liz is young, energetic, has an infectious laugh, has made me laugh and cry at the same time, pays attention to detail and leaves my feet feeling like a million dollars. She is prompt and always on time. She remembers my stories between appointments and I have remembered hers. I got to hear about the baby shower for her boyfriend’s sister and all the different gifts and food at the event.
Liz had to go to her middle name when she was hired and two other staff were also called Sarah. Now they have left but all of her clients know her as Liz. I guess it would be confusing to go back to Sarah. I highly recommend her but want her available for me so, if you decide to see her, there has to be a pecking order with me first. LOL
I trust The Spa. It excels in cleanliness and in service. I always get offered a beverage; the magazines are current and not thumbed (I hate to read a magazine that someone else has read and torn out articles); I sit in an incredibly comfortable swivel chair with my feet soaking in a stainless steel sink (that I have seen being disinfected each time I am there). One fear about pedicures is infections. Of all the people I know who go to The Spa, none have had problems. I have gone with girlfriends for a pedicure party and we all got to chat (and sip our own adult beverage).
Some men and women fear pedicures and some people women cannot get enough foot treatments and massages. I say – overcome your ticklishness and get your feet baby bottom smooth.
The Spa is located in a former church with many amusing architectural details. The coordinates are:

A pedicure was part of my repertoire when I lived in NYC................Liz sounds priceless and The Spa, divine.
Good morning, Val..... there should be one of those in every real estate office....it should be offered just as mentoring.... who doesn't need one!!
Roger:
I don't know why some men avoid getting their feet done - I have seen some that need so much work that a double appointment would be necessary. LOL
Barbara:
When I was in my twenties I could not imagine someone touching my feet - they are very ticklish. Now, I would love to have my feet done weekly - just for the massage.
Good morning Valerie. Wow, a great story and a terrific topic. As a young woman I wouldn't have imagined this either. Now...bring it on. The place looks lovely too.
Sheila:
It is unique - right on a busy street but a converted church with stone walls. I love going there - there is a TJ Maxx/Winners just down the street so I can get some retail therapy after the treatment.
Valerie...
Sounds like Liz could teach a lot of people about great customer service! Nice post on this business!
Have a great day
Rob
Rob:
It excels in reducing stress and pampering.
Liz is a keeper! It's not easy finding someone you trust and appreciate like this....lucky you!
Valerie, a very nice Tribute. I was a massage therapist for over 15 years, and considered the feet to be so important as they are the foundation of your body so to speak. The feet relate to your whole body as do your hands, and to pay attention to them can improve your health as well as just feeling good.
Sharon: I am lucky and know it which is why I keep going back to her.
Mary: The feet are so important. I have been noticing people who limp and are having foot problems. It makes getting around very difficult.
I keep my feet from public view as much as possible Valerie, I have feet that only a mother could love. A pedicure party sounds like a lot of fun though, what do you discuss when you're sitting around with your feet being soaked?
Valerie~ I'm not planning any trips to Canada, but if I was, I'd plan a day with you to go and visit Liz. You first, of course! :-)
Valerie, Helen regularly has manicures, pedicures and massages... I still feel uncomfortable with the experience of a pedicure, even though it does feel so good...
Malcolm: We talk about men who have feet that only a mother could love. LOL
Donna: You know, if you made it all the way here, I would let you go first. I do try to be a gracious hostess.
Chris: See, a lot of women can just be so comfortable being worked over but men....... It could be in the male psyche.
Valerie, how wonderful to feature someone you know so well! I love that she has an infectious laugh, that's what we all need in our day! Thanx for sharing!
Peg: Her humour makes it so pleasurable to be there.
