Lou- excellent. I think everything went well in no small part because you didn't react but used your head and what you knew of the clients. Very interesting story and at the end.. yes that 6:30 am called made a little more sense.
Interesting that you waited it out and they changed their minds back.
Hi Lou, Pretty gutsy move on your part to just ride it out !
Lou -- great illustration of how important it can be to know your clients, and what is SOP for them.
Lou, this is good advice that I can definitely use right now.
I've been seeing more and more of buyers backing out of contracts emotionally instead of thinking things through. I'm glad your story worked out.
Wow...words of wisdom here. Speaks to the power of patience and the importance of not over-reacting. Thanks for sharing this story.
Lou, I got a call like that once as a new agent, and I did what the buyer asked. And the same thing happened! They called back to undo the damage. Now I wait a bit.
Lou, I can visualize that phone call and I am glad you had the wisdom not to immediately call and get sale cancelled(although they were locked in).
Lou~ Life of the agent, never a dull moment....
I am a morning person and I enjoy and function better in the AM...
Lou, great post. I think every agent has been down that road before... and what an exciting road it is!
Hi Lou, a little mind reading goes hand in hand in real estate. Buyer's remorse or a family
argument just adds a little excitment to the deal. Have a good day.
And THAT is what a true professional does! Congratulations on getting to the closing table Lou, well done!
Hi Lou,
Sounds like a typical case of buyers remorse!
Good story
Phil
Featured you in my Weekly Post!
Came here from Kathy's favorite weekly post. That is an Ah-ha moment. Great story/post/
Good morning Lou,
Oh my..what a cool head you have..you are right..don't knee jerk to react when things don't make sense..always better to wait a bit and try and get to the root of the problem! I came over from Kathy's Ah-ha moment post and am glad I did. Congrats on the feature..well deserved!
Buying a home is a huge event in the lives and many buyers. The stress level goes WAY up! You described a perfect example of the stress felt by these buyers.
I am glad this worked out well for everyone.
Lou, there's always something in this wild and wacky real estate world, isn't there? Glad you were able to still help them get the house.
