Financially Harmed During Mortgage Foreclosure Process? You May Be Eligible for Review

If you’ve had a foreclosure on your primary residence during 2009 or 2010 and think you were financially harmed during Mortgage Foreclosure Process, you may be eligible for review.

*foreclosed home was borrower’s primary residence

*mortgage was in the foreclosure process(pending, completed, or initiated) at any time during January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2010

If you believe you were financially harmed during foreclosure process, you have until September 30, 2012 to request a review. If the review finds there was financial injury due to errors or other problems during foreclosure, customer may receive compensation or other remedy.

Some of the errors during Foreclosure process include:
-Borrower requested a loan modification, submitted a complete package and were waiting on a decision
-Borrower was doing everything required in the modification agreement but foreclosure still happened
-Foreclosure action occurred while borrower was protected by bankruptcy
