The ReBirth of Weinland Park
Join CREW Columbus Tuesday July 10th
Please note that due to the 4th of July Holiday, this luncheon will be the 2nd Tuesday of the Month
Weinland Park began more than 90 years ago to serve people who took streetcars to jobs downtown or who worked in the manufacturing industries along the railroad lines that mark the eastern boundary of our neighborhood.
A neighborhood in transition, Weinland Park is situated between the Ohio State University and The Short North. This largely residential area is on the cusp of a renaissance, thanks largely in part to one of the most ambitious collaborative efforts to ever be planned in Central Ohio.
Major public and private investments in the last decade and new commitments for home renovation, new construction and re-development over the next few years showcase community renewal and the evolution of a stable, mixed-income neighborhood.
