Two small towns in West Virginia's Greenbrier County, Alderson and Renick, celebrates July 4th with a bang.
Don’t miss West Virginia’s largest Independence Day celebration! The 51st Annual Alderson 4th of July Celebration begins June 29 and continues through July 5. The Annual Renick Freedom Celebration will be a fun-filled family day of activities free of charge. Attendees can spend the day making crafts and trinkets to take home and enjoy. Jump on the Velcro wall and see how high you can stick; challenge your friends and family to a Wii game. Attendees can also relax and listen to live music with family and friends.

Where: Renick Park on the banks of the scenic Greenbrier River
Four culinary contests are scheduled for the celebration including, pies, cookies, cakes and candies while there will be trophies given for winners of the horseshoe tournament and the Second Annual Corn Hole Tournament.
One section of the spacious park will be transformed into a playland for the younger set, while there will be music in the gazebo throughout the afternoon and evening. There is ample seating for the entertainment.
Taking center stage will be Nashville Departure, Alfred Brown Family, The Eade’s Mountain Boys and Richard Hefner and the Black Mountain Boys.
