After all of the rain and wind dumped on us by Tropical Storm Debby, the skies over Brevard County, Florida are now clear and tomorrow’s scheduled rocket launch is looking promising. According to Florida Today, conditions are now “near perfect” for tomorrow’s rocket launch, set to lift off at 6:13 am. The Delta IV Heavy Rocket will launch from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station right before sunrise, setting Brevard County residents up for a beautiful sunrise launch experience.

Tomorrow’s launch will be a United Launch Alliance Delta IV Heavy rocket, which is 232 feet tall with three first stage boosters, and also the nation’s most powerful rocket. The Delta IV Heavy rocket will be carrying a secret payload, a classified National Reconnaissance Office satellite.

According to http://launchphotography.com, one of the best spots to view tomorrow’s rocket launch is from the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, and more specifically, at the Astronaut Memorial Mirror. You can view Kennedy Space Center ticket information here: Kennedy Space Center. KSC’s website says the Visitor Center will be opening one hour prior to the scheduled launch time. Another great spot to view tomorrow’s launch is from Port Canaveral on Route 401, where the view of the launch pad is unobstructed, directly across the Banana River. Another decent spot is from 528 in Port Canaveral, which is behind Route 401.

Whether you watch tomorrow’s launch from Kennedy Space Center, Port Canaveral, your own backyard, the beach, or anywhere else in beautiful Brevard County, you are sure to witness a spectacular sight. The Delta IV Heavy rocket launches more slowly than some of the other rockets, allowing the sound and rumble to linger a bit longer. Hopefully we will all hear and feel tomorrow’s sunrise rocket launch… just another great reason we are so lucky to live on Florida’s Space Coast!

Remember to set your alarm before you go to bed tonight so you don’t miss tomorrow’s rocket launch! If you have not yet seen a rocket launch, it is definitely something to witness! If you have seen a rocket launch, you know that you don’t want to miss this incredible sight and experience!
