For me it's a great source of information. I've learned so much in the past few years since I've signed up.

For starters, I know it has improved my writing skills.  English was never one of my strong points.  Reading your posts, retaining what I like, making note of how you draw my interest into your subject, wanting to read more about your listing, or enjoying your pictures or videos, has helped me to promote my listings and put out subject matter that will also interest my future clients.

Some of my personal favorites are:  Newphoto031811 Debe Maxwell

Fantastic videos, read her posts and find out what a lovely person she is.  It's no wonder she get these great homes to sell.

Jay_light_ar_photoJay Markanich Excellent information on home inspection.  We all want to look like an expert when we go on a listing presentation.  Reading Jay's post gives us in-depth knowledge of construction and what to look for when talking to a prospective seller.  If they have any violations, and we can see them, advising to take care of them before putting the unit on the market not only saves the seller grief when it comes to the contract "to do list" which we all know can hurt the selling price, but also saves some disappointment when the seller gets his check at closing.  Not to mention violations which can kill the deal altogether.  I love his humor also, so will you.

Dsc_0074%20ok  Al & Peggy Cunningham  Our "cousins" from up north.  Don't you think most of us get our business because people like us?  Al & Peggy make you feel like they've been your best friends forever.  Plus they do a really nice job of marketing their listings.  Take a look, and I think you'll agree.

New%20profile%20photo%202010%20smaller%20w%20key  Wallace Gibson Always has something of interest concerning real estate law.  She writes about things I don't even think about. Important information we should know and care about.  There are so many things that can get us into trouble, we need to be so careful in what we say today.  Thanks Wallace.

Craig600  Craig Daniels Want to improve your posts?  Craig has easy to understand tips, even has a class now and then, to help us make our posts look professional.  If you read his posts, I know you will improve your image on line.

Kathy_wynn Kathy Wynn From my office, Appleseed Homes here on Staten Island.  She took me under her wing, helped me with my internet skills, gave constructive advise, was always very patient with me.  I'm not always a fast learner, if you know what I mean, sometimes Kathy had to "teach" me something 3 or 4 times before I understood it.  I believe I owe much of my success to her.  Thank you Kathy.

And to all of "my friends" who are not on this list but in my heart, you know who you are and I feel blessed to call you friend.  You have made me happy with your faithful comments, funny remarks and great post that I've enjoyed.  It's just too many to list here.  Thank you also.  I've used your insite to help me many times.  I feel so lucky.

Kenneth - You once again remind me that there is SO MUCH to learn. Now to make the time to do it.  I'm curious if you've seen business pick up as a direct result of your AR involvement...?

I come to AR because I learn a lot too Ken.  Thank you very much for the mention in your post!  I enjoy writing here as well, and I am only trying to improve!

Brenda;  answer is yes.  This is my second carrier, after 45 years working in a newspaper pressroom.  So I had to learn a lot quickly.  I've also had a few referrals because of Activerain.

I also have a newsletter, and any posts I make that get a good response, I'll use in the next edition

Yes there is a lot to learn from Active Rain.  You can go back and check how agents looked at the market when it was dead or when it was great and learn a lot.

Good morning Gary; Kathy is the internet expert in my office at Appleseed Homes.  She got me on Activerain 4 years ago.

I should really do a post of "faithful friends".  You would be on the top of my list.  Thanks.

Ken, you have a good list of people to follow for those that are just joining ActiveRain. The kids from Up north are every bit as great in person as they appear online.
