If you have driven past the progress of the new Tanger Outlets in Texas City along I-45 you will see that it’s making a lot of head way! The expected open date is still set for October 2012. This grand opening will be a great time since Christmas shopping will soon be approaching.

The new Tanger Outlet will bring 900 full and part times job to the area. It’s financial partners are expecting it to become a huge tourism booster.  

As of now the closet Outlet Center  in our area is located in Cypress and we all know this can be a drive. With the building of the Tanger Outlet Center just a few miles from Clear Lake City, League City, Dickinson, Pearland, and Seabrook shopping just got a lot easier.

The stores include but are not limited to: Banana Republic Factory Store, Brooks Brothers Factory Store, Calvin Klein, Gap Factory Store, Guess Factory Store, Nine West, Perry Ellis, Polo Ralph Lauren Factory Store, Puma, Tommy Hilfiger and Under Armour.

With the new Pleasure Pier opened in Galveston the Tanger Outlets should be a sure hit with tourist traveling along I-45 heading to Galveston. Please Pier is packed with restaurants, rides, shops, games, live music and entertainment. Rides include a 36-foot diameter, double-decker carousel and a 100-foot tall Ferris wheel, and for the more adventurous, a steel roller coaster with a 100-foot vertical climb, 200-foot tall swing recognized as the highest ride in Texas and classic bumper cars for adults and children.

So invite out of town guests and enjoy a weekend full of shopping and then head down to Galveston and enjoy a day at Pleasure Pier. Be sure to check back for the actually open date of Tanger Outlets, Texas City.
