As a Real Estate Broker in New Jersey I see some great towns but two towns in particular register as my top picks if your considering a move to New Jersey. Maplewood & South Orange and two wonderful towns that offer family fun as well as a enjoyable night life perfect for a buyer looking to escape the city life or a NJ resident who wants more space and a good school system. Located just 25 minutes from New York Penn Station; these towns are perfect for those seeking a change from the crowded city life in hopes of a more suburban feel. Maplewood and South Orange has it all great people, plenty of things to do and the small town feel that you can get lost in.

Here's some things that I love about Maplewood & South Orange:

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!!

Maplewood & South Orange are approx. 25-30 minutes from NYC Penn Station with New Jersey Transit Train stations in both towns. The towns also features various Movie theaters, restaurants and various parks as well gyms, karate schools & community pools for there residents.

Great Schools:

Maplewood schools are part of the unified South Orange-Maplewood School District, together with the neighboring community of South Orange. The two towns feature lovely schools such as Tuscan Elementary School & Columbia High School.

(By the way...Go Cougars!!!!)

Summer Fun

Every year, during the weekend following the weekend closest to July 4, there is a concert in town called Maplewoodstock. The free concert consists of local and national bands performing alongside various stalls showcasing local businesses. Click Here for a list of all the activities for this years event.

Send the kids to Blue life karate or take on an adult self defense class yourself.... (I am one of the instructors there, so make sure you stop in and say hello) for a class schedule Click Here

Enjoy FREE concerts this year in the Park starting on July 11 unitl August 8th! (see you there!)

Great Dining

Grab a slice at Bunny's or check out the menu at one of my favorite spots Stoney's
if your looking for great health eatery, try out HLS in Maplewood

Maplewood prides itself on being a diverse and family-friendly community. In a number of surveys it is ranked among the most desirable places to live in the United States. The township has a downtown area alternatively known as "the village" while South Orange has a central business district with restaurants, banks, and other retail and professional services. There are a few small office buildings, but no large-scale enterprise other than Seton Hall University
(GO PIRATES!!!!)

There's so many things that these two towns offer so come see for yourself. If you are considering a move, don't hesitate; check out Maplewood & South Orange today. I moved from NYC to NJ and now call these towns home. If you are MOVING TO NJ, Consider these towns and since you are looking for a Good area to live at, it's only right you have a Good Agent on your side to help you do it!!!
