When you put your house on the market, there are many things you can do to help it sell more quickly and for more money.  While remodeling and major improvements might cost thousands and take a long time to complete, staging is much easier.  Staging involves making minor, more superficial changes to a home in order to make it more appealing to buyers.  Good staging can be done for relatively small amounts of money and have a high return on investment when the house is sold.  Here are staging tips that will help you sell your Coral Springs home quickly:

1. Fix the front yard

The front yard is the first thing potential home buyers see.  If they don't like it, they'll turn right around and drive off!  If you have a grass yard, make sure there are no weeds or brown patches.  Do minor landscaping and add flowers.  There shouldn't be anything extra in the front yard so pull all rakes, bikes, garden hoses, and garbage cans into the garage or behind the house.

2. Brighten up the place

Sun light makes people happy.  You want your home to look bright.  This can be done in many ways.  Replace dark shades and blinds with light, airy curtains to let in as much natural light as possible.  Repaint dark walls in light colors.  In rooms that do not have much natural light, add lamps with white light bulbs.

3. Make rooms bigger

Painting rooms a light color will help them look larger.  Another way to showcase the space in a room is to remove as much from that room as possible.  Give things you do not need away and put much of what's left in storage.  The living room, for example, should only have major furnishings such as a sofa, coffee table, arm chair, floor rug, and television when it is open house time.  You might love those bookcases lining the wall, but they make the room look smaller.

4. Modernize

Home buyers want to feel like they're moving into a place that has been well taken care of and is up-to-date.  Small, inexpensive upgrades can add to this appearance.  Switch out the mail box and home address numbers out front to a style that is popular now.  Replace hardware in the kitchen and bathroom for an easy upgrade.

5. Beautify

Home shoppers will be more interested in your house if they feel comfortable there.  If it looks feels nice, they will imagine it feeling nice to live there.  Make sure it smells good by baking cookies or burning a lightly scented candle.  Add pretty bouquets of flowers to the dining room table and living room coffee table.  These small touches go a long way.

Hopefully these tips help you as you prepare to sell your Coral Springs home.  If you have any questions or would like to enlist a professional real estate agent, do not hesitate to contact us.
