8 Comments on Tsunami dock from Japan drawing thousands of visitors to Newport, OR
WOW! Very interesting. Enjoyed reading this and will Google for more information on the subject.
This washing up of items from the Tsunami is occurring all along the Pacific Coast...includes our Vancouver Island beaches (west side).
Barbara -- thank you for the update, and also for including the public service announcement. Have a fantastic weekend.
Hi Barbara --- wow --- the sheer size of the dock and its travel to your coast are really incredible.
Jay, Great to hear this prompted a Google search. Exactly what I hoped it would do! Thanks for your comment.
Li, I have heard you are getting debris up there, this has only just begun, I am curious to see what else lands here as Agate Beach is a catch all for glass floats and other items. Great agate hunting too. Thanks for visiting :)
Steven, The public service announcement about calling 211 was the impetus for this entry. Thanks!
Michael, I wish you could see this thing! It is a truly awesome sight, especially when the weather is nice. To touch it and know it came from Japan and is now sitting here is a feeling that is indescribable. Always good to see you here, thanks for reading my blog.... Hope your holiday is great!
