La Fiesta Cafe in Delray Beach-Fresh and Approved by This Texan!

La Fiesta in Delray BeachSince moving to Delray Beach FL from Texas over 25 years ago I have been on a quest to find  good Mexican food.  La Fiesta Cafe on US1 in Delray Beach is just what I’ve been looking for.

The Salsa is as fresh as if you made it in your own kitchen and the chips do not taste as if they’ve been sitting in a bag for a week.  Everything they make has a fresh twist added that you won’t find in just any Mexican restaurant.  Try the Tortilla soup but you have to add the small extra spices they serve with it.  Trust me... once you do, you’ll order it every time you come in... I know I do!

Quesadillas!  The best in town, and not just cheese between 2 flour tortillas then pressed with an iron (just kidding).   But you haven’t had good Quesadillas until you try their Portobello Mushroom Quesadilla or their Shrimp Quesadilla.

Wednesday’s house Margarita’s are $2.00 all day; check their Facebook page for updates!  La Fiesta is great for an afternoon lunch with the kids and the perfect place to celebrate Cinco de Mayo!

Kathy, You have my vote. The salsa and chips are the key and they sound authentic. I wish I could be there to enjoy.

BarbaraT- when we moved here we tried Mexican restaurant from Palm Beach to Ft Lauderdale.  This one is

Frank- it's tucked away but worth the stop.

Janis- I love margaritas but one is my limit!  Two and it would not be a pretty picture.

James- if you come down to Delray or anywhere in Palm Beach County, you'd better call!

Conrad- the salsa tastes as fresh as what you'd make for yourself at home (but in my case better than what I'd make)

Gabe- if you can't find any in your area... drive south!

Cindy- when we left Houston and moved to Florida, I ate Mexican food for 6 straight days!

Gary- I do too.  Location, as you know, is key and they're off the beaten path but once you go, you do come back.

Dorie - Hope you go out for some great Mexican food in Austin soon, and when you do... have an extra bite for me.

Debbie- I wish I could describe the toppings they give you for the Tortilla soup.  I'd go there just for that.
