I had picked my comfortable chair...

Plenty to do in the morning, and then a lull. Time to combine lunch with a glance at the newspaper (delivered to the "exact" spot. The ceiling fan was doing its job in my living room.

And then Zzzz-zz-z.

A strange awakening not knowing at first whether it was am or pm. I awoke to a phone call that a fire was out of control in Herriman on the other side of the Salt Lake Valley and that a friend I was to meet this evening had moved from his home for precautionary reasons "If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem".

So while I dozed, life circumstances for some changed. Was I missed? I doubt it. My body was telling me to take a little time.

I am now refreshed, re-energized and ready to close out the month.

Deborah - Me either. Slightly decadent feeling Fires made spectacular news coverage. Lots of smoke evident across the valley.

Debbie - All went well for the meeting. Even with the nervous tension. Everyone was amazed at the speed of the fire down one mountain, and with a windchange, up the next. Events have even led me to consider how to deal with the buildup of combustible material around my home.

Nothing wrong with a little afternoon snooze in your comfortable chair Larry.  Glad all is well with your friend and his place.

Larry, just because I don't get that opportunity for an afternoon nap does not mean I am not jealous! Glad you enjoyed a well deserved snooze! Enjoy your day!

Roger - thanks for your validation - now I feel better. Seems fire started from car with hot muffler that stopped in tall greaa.

Wayne - I don't often put myself in such a situation. Could become habit forming.
