It's a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, Won't you Be my Neighbor? That's the song that goes through my mind when I think of Apex, NC. Mr. Rogers could have easily strolled down the streets of Apex, NC and talked with the mailman, the baker, or the shop owner. He would have felt right at home.
Nostalgia, Historic, Comfortable, and Community are all words that describe the Peak City. Take a walk through Historic Downtown Apex and you're likely to feel as if you just stepped into a Normal Rockwell painting. It's Nostalgia at its best. People are friendly, happy, and carefree.
Whether you're in Downtown Apex, a surrounding shopping center, at one of the schools, in a neighborhood, or driving down an old road near a horse farm, you'll get a sense of community in Apex.
One thing the town does right is they create a sense of community. But, a town and its buildings can't do that alone; it takes a village to truly make a town inviting and make visitors feel welcome.
If you don't believe me, drive on down to Salem Street and see for yourself. Attend one of the many Downtown Festivities. You might just find a new place where you can really live!
