Enterprise shows why it was nominated as 'Most Patriotic'
Red, white, and blue were the colors EVERYWHERE for the last week around Enterprise. Businesses, public areas, and homes all put out our "Fourth of July" ornaments a week early for this event as team with the Best of the Road competition toured Enterprise to find out of it truly IS the most patriotic city in the United States.
We're competing with five other cites for this honor. Since we have a very large percentage of the population who are retired or transplanted (me) Army Veterans, I figure that we have a good chance.
Sue and I cleaned up my old '82 Mercedes Convertible for the "Patriotic Cruise". Yeah, I know, a "German" car in a parade about the "USA"....well, since a lot of Mercedes are built in North Alabama now, I figured that made my car a German-American "hybrid"....
We also sorta represented the local VFW men and ladies chapters, since the local post didn't have a vehicle in the parade.
