Summertime Flora in Southern Utah...

By
Real Estate Agent with Aubrey and Associates Realty

The Rabbit Brush is one of the more common flowering plants during the summertime in Southern Utah.  It's latin name is Chrysothamnus.  I know some people may not, agree with me, but I do find it to be a beautiful flower.

Yes, Rabbit Brush.  It grows profusely all along Utah's Highway 12.  It adds a delightful accent to the landscape.  CONGRATULATIONS on having this photoblog FEATURED in the Photos group!

At first glance I thought it was trees, and then realized it's a bush.  It's very pretty and I'll bet a large area covered in rabbit bush would be quite striking.  Very nice photo!

Hi Tony & Darcy,

I think the Rabbit Bush is very pretty as it is a nice yellow instead of a bright gold as most. I do not think I have ever heard of rabbit bush before.  I have seen a plant that had things hanging off it and it looked like rabbits feet...I was kinds creepy but it was a off white and fuzzy and long just like one.

Thanks for sharing.
