Loving being outside in January in Houston, is one of the reasons people live here. Temperatures have mostly been in the 70's some days cooler, but no really cold days that you can't get out and enjoy the weather. The one thing lacking in this area are parks, at least parks that have jogging trails bigger than a football field. There is one however that most people don't know about, off of NASA Rd. 1 called Challenger Seven Memorial Park. It is dedicated to the men and women who lost their lives in the Challenger Space Shuttle. Clear Creek runs through it. I wouldn't go in the summer, but it's the perfect place around here to go for a jog in a natural environment.
