Overrated - Dealing with Pain. This one's for the guys, and the girls that roll their eyes at us. How many times have you been injured and thought, "nah, I'll just walk it off," only to look back now and wish you would've seen a doctor fairly soon after the injury happened?
I remember playing baseball as a kid. Rip the knee open sliding into second and what do you do? Rub dirt in it to stop the bleeding. (ladies, you can roll your eyes again here).
How many of us have off-and-on blown out backs, popping knees or a sore shoulder (me!) that should've been taken care of years ago? If you still want to hold on to the thought that you'll be "fine," that's all good. You'll remember reading this when you get older.
Underrated - Friends. I work a lot. I always plan to hang out with my friends, but something always comes up. I know that my closest friends will always be there for me, like I am for them, but I need to carve out some time for them. It can only help, right?
