Big minds are found in small towns too! I visited my parents, who live in the small town of Wellman, Iowa. While I was there, I visited with an old friend who owns his own insurance business. Alan has been very home for sale in Lancaster PAsuccessful over the years.

Through our discussions over lunch at a nice restaurant located on Main Street in Wellman, he shared ideas of development with me. He had taken an old building which had a leaking roof and which had housed pigeons for years and converted it into great office space which housed his insurance business and a health clinic. Next door was a pharmacy and next to that was the town Senior Center. The building next door was for sale and several other buildings need to be renovated.

What most impressed me was the ideas and the vision which Alan had. He dreamed about developing more business opportunities to create jobs. There would need to be new homes constructed which would entice businesses to relocate, but that did not deter him.

home for sale in Lancaster PAWe discussed a great recreation center which was built on the edge of Wellman Park. My niece’s wedding reception was held in this building. It is a recreation center with exercise equipment and a community center. This was brought to Wellman without cost to the residents. It is quite impressive.

One line which Alan shared with me caught my attention. If you are not

home for sale in Lancaster PAdreaming about how to grow and doing something, you are dying in rural America. I realized Alan’s mind was a great asset to the Wellman community. One does not need to live in an urban center to have a big mind.
