its a shame that we have to resort to this to protect our property.seeing this more and more.
This makes me more sad than anything.
Sending healing blessings,
Laura
That is one smart builder, Frank and Sharon. I always like to do our final walk through on the way to the closing to make sure the AC unit wasn't stolen the night before-especially when it is a vacant property.
You know - one needs to do what they need to do. In our market this has happened way to often and I'm quite sure home owners would do what they needed to do to protect their property.
Carolyn, it's in a good neighborhood, but you never know.
Laura, it does.
Bruce, it is. Not that someone couldn't get it off, but the extra time and trouble - they would just move on.
Anna, it has happened to us at our personal investment property when it was vacant last year.
I understand vacant homes expecially HUD homes have been hit really hard.
Have A Great Day
Boy you're right about that! It's really too bad and quite shocking when you think about how much new HVAC systems cost. Here in our area they are $10K+. Great idea here though!
Sharon,
It's a start but unfortunately I think determined theives can defeat this system. :)

What a sad statement, when we literally need to nail everything down. Many have gotten very creative with what they steal today.
Doris, vacant homes like this new construction are easy targets.
DeeDee, they are pricy - we know from personal experience.
Steve, they can. But most won't. They will move on to an easier target.
Joe, indeed. It's all that copper inside.
Frank & Sharon, There is always an opportunity just waiting for someone to take advantage of when it is an easy target. Criminals definitely do not want to word hard at ripping people off!
WOW! I haven't seen that at all around here and it sure doesn't say much for people's honesty...........
Frank and Sharon, silly me! For a minute I thought it was just decorative iron work.
Wanda, so true. This isn't 100% fool proof, but it's a deturrent for sure.
Barbara-Jo, unfortunately there are quite a few desparate dishonest folks these days.
Pat, lol, it isn't bad looking, is it?
Sharon,
Congratulations. This post is now featured on "Speechless Sundays." :)

Frank & Sharon- our very good friends' house burned last May. While they were in the clearing and planning stages my husband suggested he ask his AC company to remove and store his less than a week old AC units as a security precaution. They'd been installed the day of the fire.
Steve, thanks!
Kathy, that was a wise request. It's no fun to buy something again when you have just paid for it.
