I couldn't help snapping this shot of this unusual cactus with all the little surrounding cacti in bloom!  Many people don't realize the beauty of the desert and it's native plants.  These cactus can thrive in anyone's home who has a sunny window.  They don't mind being neglected... and really only need water once every 3 weeks.  It is rare to have all of your plants bloom at the same time, but it makes for beautiful display!

WOW! If I send you some cash will you buy one of the big ones and mail it to me? Or if you know the name I will go on the hunt to see if I can find one! That is a beauty!

Kathy - That's also "Beauty in a Bowl."  Often when folks think of cactus they don't think of the vivid colors that they sometimes have.  The little collection pictured captures all that.  By the way, I love "The Blue Cayote" restaurant in Palm Springs.  I haven't been there in years, and hope it is still there!

Wow Kathy, This is just beautiful. The varieties and the bloooms are amazing. It would be beautiful even if it was not blooming season.
