Gratitude can transform your life. Are you allowing minor things to get in the way of your transformation and the life you deserve?
Remember:
- If you are criticizing, you are not being grateful.
- If you are blaming, you are not being grateful.
- If you are complaining, you are not being grateful.
- If you are feeling tension, you are not being grateful.
- If you are rushing, you are not being grateful.
- If you are in a bad mood, you are not being grateful.
Many years ago I asked a person in my life that generates a constant stream of positive energy how he was always able to stay so positive and he shared with me that he began each morning by writing a thank you note to God. He went on to say that he includes all the things that he has to be thankful for and told me to give it a try.
Then he said I should start out by making a list of at least 100 things that I was thankful for. I said “100 things”! He said why don’t you start by thanking God for the fact that you can see and then add all the things that you are able to do because of the fact that you can see.
So for the past 15 or more years I begin every morning by writing a letter to God and thanking him for all of my blessings.
Lately I have included the thousands and thousands of people that give their life energy to make my life comfortable. Think about it as you walk around your home; each and every thing in it including your home required that someone give their life energy to make your life more comfortable. Or even now I’m thinking about all the lives that make it possible for me to write on this computer, in my office with electricity and air-conditioning. Do see how easy it is and can you see how many things you have to be grateful for and how many people you owe gratitude to?
I now can make a list of thousands of things that I have to be grateful for and always on that list I include the person that told me to write a daily thank you letter to God.
