Join Summerfest for their annual 4th of July Celebration with the Cary Town Band, North Carolina Symphony and fireworks!  Events start Wednesday, July 4th at 5:30 pm.  The Cary Town Band will perform an old fashion afternoon concert, similar to what your Great Grandparents experienced 100 years ago when they celebrated this holiday.  Admission to all events is free so please come on out and celebrate with us!

3 p.m. • Gates Open to Blankets, Lawn Chairs & Picnics
3 – 7 p.m. • Kids Activities – Video Gaming Truck, Magician, Face Painters and more
Open to All 3 p.m. • Model Boat Regatta on Symphony Lake
4:30 p.m. • Frozen T-Shirt Contest
5:00 p.m. Watermelon Eating Contest
5:30 p.m. • Lumpy’s Ice Cream Eating Contest
5:45 p.m. • Cary Town Band • Main Stage
7:30 p.m. • NC Symphony • Main Stage

I went to Koka Booth last year for fireworks and sat right across the lake from where they sent them off, truly beautiful. Another good spot to see them is the hill by Super Walmart. My dad used to take me there to watch them when I was little.
