According to a recent Article in the Nashua Telegraph...the rate of Foreclosures increased in the last three months of the year.old guyFather Time has not been kind.....

Data from the Hillsborough County Registry of Deeds shows that not only have more than twice as many been foreclosed on in 2007 (compared to 2006)...there were more than six times as many as 2005

Both the State Realtor Organization and the New Hampshire Banking Association are predicting that repercussions from this "mess" probably won't peak until this coming Spring! It is looking like the expected numbers pf 2000 foreclosures could trim up to 1.4 percentage points from economic growth in the Manchester-Nashua area.

  Some Examples:                2006                                2007                         % increase

  Nashua                                59                                  134                               127%

  Manchester                          85                                  192                               126%

Hillsborough County               296                                  629                               112%

Interestingly enough because of a relatively high household income and and fewer speculators than have been seen in Markets such as Florida.....southern New Hampshire, along with many other areas of the State, has avoided a large part of the Mortgage Meltdown!

Joan - it's refreshing to know Ohio is not alone.  But it's also disheartening to know that so many people in this country are having such difficulties.  For being the land of plenty we are certainly having to buckle down.

Glad to see you back.  Hope you're feeling better soon!

I saw the article in the Telegraph and it was not as bad as I thought it would be. On the other hand, I don't think we are out of the woods yet. New Hampshire has not had as many foreclosures as other states.  As far as I can tell none of my clients have gotten got up in this MESS!  Hope you are feeling better.

Joan, That's a cute card you've shown, I think things are bound to improve.  I'm SO sorry to hear you're not feeling better, I was hoping you would wake up this morning and be all well!

I am tired of trudging through the snow to show a house that is freezing inside.
