"America the Beautiful" is one of the most beloved American patriotic songs - with lyrics written by Katharine Lee Bates - probably while she was at Pike's Peak, Manitou Springs, Colorado - about 1892 - with music later composed by Samuel A. Ward.
I've sung this favorite song many times - once while hiking on Pike's Peak - always fun.
