We went to Mezzo Italian Kitchen in Gahanna just after the news that the  Creekside Development was sold, including the Residences at Creekside condominiums.

We went to Mezzo for my birthday dinner in June.  We do not eat Italian out often but Mezzo Italian is one central Ohio restaurant with gluten free choices.  I chose the penne with shrimp. It was not a good choice.  The gluten free penne was over cooked (that happens with gluten free pasta.)  I should have chosen the scallops.  I got a taste of both the scallops and the risotto (which were on the gluten free menu.) I had the scallops the first time I visited Mezzo.  I will have the scallops the next time I go to Mezzo in Gahanna.

We visited Mezzo on one of the few cool summer evenings in late June and ate on the patio overlooking Creekside Plaza. 

After dinner we walked all through the park along the creek, I had no idea the park was so extensive.

Looks like a nice restaurant. Shame your penne was overcooked! Better luck next time! That is why I eat steak over pasta - can't overcook a good steak!

Personally I can overcook a steak...  restaurants are much better at cooking steak than me. Some gluten free pasta is fine and a second later mush.  When I cook it up at home I eat it al dente.  I wondered if Mezzo makes their own pasta or uses dried.  I am sure they would just buy dried gf pasta even if they make their own normal pasta. GF pasta has come a long way in the last few years.  I think making fresh gf pasta would be a challenge. 

Now I am craving steak and it's not even 10 A.M. By the time we hit 100 degrees today I will no longer be craving steak or anything heavy.  We have a gift card (I won) for a restaurant that serves gluten free pasta and gf pizza, we may go there this evening.
