Tapping the Foreign Market

By
Real Estate Agent with Illustrated Properties
It occured to me a few weeks ago that the strength of the NYC market is largely attributed to the foreign market.  My market is 35 minutes north of this same market.  So I decided to start tapping that market.  I've been searching out foreign search directories to post my site on and finding some good ones.  My hits are up  and my point proved whend just after a few days I got a call from a foreigner looking at land to just buy and hold.  I'd like to know from those of you who think like me, what you are doing and what is working for you.  Obviously the language barrier is one hurdle.  Unfortunately I only speak English.  Look forward to hearing from you out of the box thinkers.

Great idea and way to go on thinking outside of the box! You could probably do blogs targeting these markets. Good luck

With the state of the dollar to tap the foreign market is a great place for new business.

Take care!

Victoria,

Foreign buyers are looking at two advantages right now; buyer's market in many areas, like Las Vegas, and the weak dollar. A good way to attract them is keep on blogging at AR to keep your profile high up in the rankings.

I've been thinking about this lately as other currencies have gained against the dollar. How can I reach the world in 'world wide web?' Las Vegas is a great location for vacation and second homes, and many of our high-rise projects are attractive to foreign investors. I'm starting to establish relationships with KW agents in Canada, and will add your idea on foreign search directories, too.
