This neighborhood is located in the desirable Northwest quad in Gilroy and was first developed in the mid 1980s. The community is a mix of homes some older and newer, some single story but mostly two story homes. Most properties are in good condition and well maintained. In the heart of Lions Creek Gilroy is a small neighborhood called Heritage Place Gilroy. The neighborhood has two small neighborhood parks on Casablanca Circle and Blue Parrot Court. These are located on opposite sides of the community and homes on Cacablanca Circle, Heritage Way, Soledad Drive and Blue Parrot Court are all part of this pocket community within Lions Creek. Home values in this neighborhood are from the mid $400,000 to the low $500,000s. The community offers a few different mostly two story floor plans ranging in size from 2,006 square feet for a 4 bed/2 1/2 bath single story to 2,806 square foot for a 5 bed/3 bath residence.

The City of Gilroy and their partners completed the Lions Creek Trail project at $1.5 million to provide a safe route for students to get to school. They plan to expand the safe school routes for all students in Gilroy in the near future as funds become available.
Lions Creek Gilroy is also home to a private school. Pacific West Christian Academy offers education for students in pre-school, elementary and Junior high school. They offer summer school programs as well.
