Wordpress and Active Rain SEO, Part II

Like me!

Hello everyone. In my last post about Wordpress SEO, I promised a second video. It took me a lot longer to do than I thought, because I am in the middle of a big project and lost an employee. I got a little behind. Here we go though, with part II.

This video is 14 minutes long. I tend to ramble on and I am sorry for that. I just purchased a new video editor recently and I just don't have time to learn it. I know: excuses, excuses.

Anyway, I hope you find this video useful. If you do, please "Like" it or "plus" it or both. Please help me and I'll keep helping everyone that I can. The Google+ and the Likes are huge, and I'm going to teach everyone about that soon.

Sometimes people in the Rain email me with questions. I have some pretty aggressive spam protection. If you send me an email, you will get another email that makes you verify your identity. If you don't verify your identity, I will eventually see your email, but only when I decide to look in my junk. Maybe once every few days...

And make sure you check out: White Hat SEO, Inspired By Black Hat

I highly recommend that you subscribe to my blog. :-)

Because, in my next post, tomorrow or Saturday-- I am going to write about how you can get five gold stars in your Google results, along with your pretty face!

That particular post will blow your mind, I promise.

(Refresh your page if you don't see the video below. I recommend "full screen".)

Rather than bookmarking these, that little envelope in the bottom section is a great way to email them to myself so that I will do it first thing in the morning when I am fresh and alert.  Thank you for your efforts, and I look forward to the next post.

I also liked and +1'd this.  I need to watch part 1 and 2 videos over the weekend since I have to crank out a bunch of proposals before I leave for my appts.

Yes, I love using the headers.  thx for the tip on description/140 characters.  I didn't know that and will start incorporating.  also, stupid me...I didn't realize it was using my description like a meta description on my other website.  I should have realized that.  But, now I know so I'll pay more attention here.

BTW, I've been using an h3 tag towards the end of my posts w/ a map (usually a map of my county/area I serve - from maps.google.com - I created a few custom ones that also have links to my site and use my key words).  Anyway, I've been saying something like:

<h3>Map of Westchester County</h3>...and then the html embed code for the map which might be titled "Westchester Flooring."

Does that make sense?  Or should I be saying...

<h3>Map of Westchester Flooring</h3>...does that make sense?

Micheal, thanks for taking the time to show us more on how to enhance our blog posts using the tools we already have.  Often times we get great advise but have to go and learn a new app or tool.  You my friend shared some really good tips!  I think the 140 word description tip was one not many of us knew about.  (at first because it was 140 characters I thought you were going to do something w/Twitter! ;)

Keep 'em coming!
