I have had the distinct honor of being a part of a forum from pretty much its inception. That forum is this one. I've read some very smart guys and gals and in my secret poetic dreams, I sometimes wish I could convey stuff like they do/did. I ran across one of those very posts today by a guy who seems by all means to be extremely intelligent in a variety of ways. That's one thing about intelligence, it can not live by bread alone.
J Philip Faranda is probably a bit smarter than me. Even a tad wiser. In fact, I love the way the guy writes and the way he thinks as I can comprehend it from reading him. He wrote a post earlier that personifies why I still am addicted to this forum. Check it out.
There can be and are and were arguments against the viewpoint that Politics and Religion may not be what's best for your bottom line. I suppose it depends upon the bottom line. I tend to agree with him more than I don't and this is coming from a guy whose only concern about writing anything is trying to ensure I maintain a Charlie Sheen reputation without the Charlie Sheen income. Yup, I'm bass ackwards.
I think an honest discussion about Policy, Faith, and our Country & World is almost always a good thing. I also realize that it often ends in dismay. Some of the folks watch too much Fox News and some of them watch too much MSNBC ... I don't mean to put a conspiracy foot to the fire here, but did you ever wonder if the pricks were in cahoots?
In my opinion, J Philip articulated what I would want to be if garnering business in this forum on a regular basis. YOUR bottom line.
For me, I like to write. It, like discussion, is in me. I have a difficult time trying to pretend I don't like it. And now that I'm fiscally kind of sound, I have an even harder time trying to pretend it isn't there.
So what's YOUR bottom line?
And that's your answer.
