Things to do in Alameda: July 6th is "First Friday" at the Frank Bette Center.Sterling Hoffmann'ssolo show will be featured in the Signature Gallery. Sterling's work is featured on this year's PAPo ad materials for having won the "Best of Show" in 2010. Frank Bette Center for the Arts is located at 1601 Paru, Alameda.
Things to do in Alameda: Still Life - A New Point of View July 6 at 6:00 pm features seven artists at the popUp Gallery at Autobody Fine Art studio at 1517 Park Street in Alameda. The artists include Sue Averell, Gabriele Bungardt, Ken Draizan, Mi’Chelle Fredrick, Dan Granett and Chris Tedesco who cover the gamut from acrylic and oil paintings, steel sculptures, drawing, photography and glass art.

Things to do in Alameda: Alameda Walks! On July 7 at 9 am walkers will meetat the Tidewater Aquatic Center to hear about the new center and to walk to Martin Luther King Shoreline Park nearby. Meet at the Aquatic Center at 4675 Tidewater Avenue over the High Street Bridge in Oakland.
Things to do in Alameda: Alameda South Shore Centerand Off the Grid will be back with more food trucks on July 7, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm in the South Shore Center parking lot near Petco. Eight to ten trucks will including Cup Cakes, Liba Falafel, Senior Sisig, Susie Q’s, The Dosa Republic and Seoul on Wheels. Yum Yum!
Things to do in Alameda: The Alameda’s Farmer’s Market is open to the public every Saturday, July 7 and Tuesday, July 3 morning from 9am to 1pm, rain or shine. Don’t miss the opportunity to shop for delectable fruits and vegetables. The market is at Webster Street and Haight Avenue

Alameda Meals on Wheels 16th Annual Community Faire & Wine TastingFundraiser on Sunday, July 15 from 1 to 5 pm at Rock Wall Wine Company at 2301 Monarch Street at Alameda Point.
Alameda Welfare Council’s annual summer faire, “A Faire at the Point” will be held on Wednesday, July 25 beginning at 10:00 am at Rock Wall Wine Company at 2301 Monarch Street. This is always a great event with delicious homemade food treats, home and garden booth, jewelry booth and a silent auction for a worthy cause.
Alameda Museum Lecture Series on July 26 at 7:00 pm will feature local historian and know it all Woody Minor speaking about Years of Power: Celebrating the 125th Anniversary of Alameda Municipal Power. Woody always has interesting tidbits about his subjects so this lecture should not be missed.
