Another popular swim/tennis neighborhood to consider is Austin Lake. The neighborhood is just shy of 100 homes and is located in Smyrna just off North Cooper Lake Road. Ray Redden, who was well known for building high-end custom homes in northern Atlanta, built the community between 1993 and 1998. His craftsmanship shows through in the homes in Austin Lake. Prices for Austin Lake homes for sale start in the 300s.

In addition to neighborhood amenities, you'll also find it very social. From pool parties to Easter Egg hunts, Halloween parades, block parties and tennis outings, you're sure to have a lot of fun meeting your neighbors. Other points to consider are easy access to the Silver Comet Trail just down North Cooper Lake Road as well as the North Cooper Lake park that includes a small mountain biking trail and the Smyrna Community Garden.
