Estero, Florida Boom Town Yet Again
Nestled between south Fort Myers and Naples, Estero is in a desirable geographic location with proximity to amenities, travel ease, and entertainment.
In the early 2000's Estero building boom began and carried right through the real estate run-up. It was not only residential properties. During a few short years more than 3 million square feet of retail and dining space was added in three major locations - Coconut Point, Miromar Outlets, and Gulf Coast Town Center. Since then, other retail centers whose development was stopped dead in its tracks have since mostly all completed and are filling up too.
Coconut Point, home to dining and shopping, is also home to The Residences at Coconut Point. Luxury condominums units built around the "urban environment" Coconut Point has to offer.
One developer believes so much in Estero that The Preserve at Corkscrew has been underway for a while now with new model homes rising out of the ground now set to open this month. There will be 441 single-family homes by Pulte Homes and Lennar on 510 acres with each home on lake and/or preserve lot and an 8,000 square foot club house to be completed early 2013.
Two other development in Estero are in the permitting process: Corkscrew Woods, a planned community of up to 800 homes, and Midtowne Estero Village with about 110 twin villa homes.
