Computer Virus Warning - Pay Attention Now

Real Estate Agent with Carmody and Associates LLC FL #BK374401

You may have read about the DNS changing malware that has been in the news recently.  The virus impacts your ability to access the dns system which is the address capability for the internet.  The virus, if you are infected, will become a problem tomorrow July 9, 2012.  People I have spoken with suggest that fixing the damage to your system may not be possible if you have the problem tomorrow.

Additional information may be found <here>  (just picking a recent article)

I recommend a qucik check to see if your computer is infected.  In your browser, log on to

Click on detect in the row of three icons.  On the next page click in the link

If the resulting screen has a green background, your computer is not infected.  (you could also click on the link above this point in my article - but I wanted to have you go to the outside site where they have instructions to fix the problem if the background of the screen had been red, indicating the precsence of the malware)

You may also want to check out your dns server.  This link on the FBI site will explain the process...

Good luck to all.

PERFORM at least the SHORT TEST before midnight tonight

Thanks very much Ted.  My computer seems to be okay.  I had heard nothing about this.  I do have malware software on the computer though, so maybe it's working!

Hi Jay - the articles I had read indicated 400,000 computers were expected to have a problem.  Not a big number - but I didn't want any of my friends and readers to be included in the set.

Thanks for stopping by.
