Palm Pre is now Palm Free.  I purchased my new iPhone on the Fourth of July!  Independence Day is so many ways meant that I as now free of a source of irritation and discontent. 

 

Now, that I have my phone and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it.  I have to return it. 

 

I don’t know about you, but it always seems that somehow something goes wrong with a major purchase for me.  And, I am always so optimistic, too.

 

This phone is wonderful except for the fact that I can’t hear anyone when making or taking a call.  That is somewhat the primary reason for a cell phone, after all. 

 

But, I am still in the fourteen day grace period, and tomorrow I will return it.  And start all over again. Sigh. 

 

But I am still very happy with the rest of the phone, and, of course, the battery being fresh from the factory doesn’t run down in four hours which is amazing.

 

If you are considering a Palm…I would add a word of caution here.  They were bought out by Hewlitt Packard, and sometimes…oh, every time, the customer service aspect that was terrific when I got the phone lack quite a bit. 

 

Time will tell, but I don’t think I will have that issue with my iPhone….iPad, you are next up to bat.   Hold on to your horses kids, I hope this won’t be a bumpy ride.

Suzanne, I hope in time the bumps will smooth out-I've heard nothing but good things about the I-phone, I'm still using my Motorola Droid. I'll wait until my next upgrade before I pull the trigger.

Suzanne,  I know your pain, when anything, especially an electronic item doesn't work is frustrating!  So glad you are within your 14 days to get it right!  And I have to agree, you should be able to "HEAR" your callers, esp, in our business! lol

I up graded to the latest and greatest iPhone. And some have been complaining that they can't hear me. My kids tell me it is the sturdy box I have around it to protect it from breaking if I drop it. Gonna fight to keep the "metal jacket" on!

Hi Suzanne - You broke it already!? Mary is the hardest person on electronics I've ever seen - a new phone has a lifetime measured in weeks - I think she talks them to death. They probably suicide so they won't have to listen to her sister. Hope yours get fixed quickly and without hassle.
