I will be the gladdest thing
Under the sun!
I will touch a hundred flowers
And not pick one.

William,
Thank you for sharing your beautiful poetry on the meaning behind flowers. Your words suffice as an awareness for mediation. For me, life begins in the garden. I am blessed because you shared.
Thank you William for sharing your gift with ALL of us here on ActiveRain!
Joni,
From the moment I met you at RAINCAMP I knew you were special.
I appreciate that you appreciated my photographs. In that first photo, I felt like I was sharing a dance with the Echinacia or Purple Cone Flower - we were in the moment of creation!
I enjoy your friendship in the RAIN!
Coming from you John, that means a lot. Thank you.
Flowers have a way of bringing instant joy and renewed hope!
Thanks a bunch Steve! You have a strong presence here on ActiveRain and it's wonderful to receive feedback from you.
If you plant happiness and joy - it will grow. Let's all grow it and nurture joy in the RAIN!
Larry & Sheila,
You always bring me joy and you give me something to smile about. Your marketing efforts always gives me something to ponder and grabs my attention. I learn a lot from you.
Roger, you're a great man and a humble one too. I always believe you and I especially admire your loving relationship with Mickey.
If only more people were like you... everyday would be Mother's Day!
"Go forth and enjoy the day." We should plant that thought in our minds each and every day. If we began the day that way, we'd expand our awareness even further than we could imagine.
I think God gives us challenges to help us to get outside of our comfort zone.
If flowers can grow despite all odds, why oh why couldn't I?
Life Is Good because you started this group and it has become an inspiration to me.
Thank you James.
Roy,
Thanks for the flowers! No, I'm not using anything to enhance my flowers, I like them just the way they are - natural.
But I will consider installing it another time.
Thanks for the tip!
Barbara-Jo... it's easy to stay positive when I turn to ActiveRain and find an array of beautiful people, such as yourself.
Debb... those words move me deeply inside. I get excited when I come upon a flower in the woods. They show me how to turn away from sorrow, sadness, and worries. In that one moment alone with the flower, I see things differently. I feel better. I am one with creation.
Your verse is an inspiration - thank you!
A.... it's my pleasure. I'm glad I made you glad. You are a ray of sunshine in the RAIN and if I can make someone glad, I'm happy!
You always have the right effect on me!
Kerrie... I love your new profile photo - it suits you well!
Yes! I thought my first flower was strong too. When I bend down and got on my knees to admire its beauty, I was reminded how a tiny seed, hidden below the grass must have struggled to become the beauty it is today. This is evidence to me that we all have potential to get up when we are down and strengthen ourselves up and become strong.
I finally have flowers outside the window and they bring me joy and happiness each day! Thank you for sharing yours!
Sharon.... I love NH. I'm glad to know you're enjoying flowers outside your window. Flowers give me a lift and I enjoy watching them blooom. Each one is a gift that I think we were given freely because He wants us to enjoy them and to remind us that life begins with creation.
Tony & Darcy... flowers can always change our mood. I'm happy I gave you a great thought to think about on a Monday morning.
Have a wonderful time enjoying nature's beauty.
Thanks to Laura for the reblog of this sweet post. Don't let unimportant things or people become important.
Margaret
Patricia, I couldn't agree more about the title of this post..life is good when you are glad and thankful. I am thankful for you and your beautiful, well-written posts. I love the flowers...I like to see the flowers, smell them and not pick them so others can enjoy the beauty and joy the flowers bring.
I would have a hard time not picking even one! LOL. Thanks for sharing this. Beautiful and sweet....
