Morning Debb -

What an excellent idea for loosing weight and being healthy but what a great local advertisement for the areas!  HBO is a big deal.  This is a win - win for everyone!

Debb - sounds like a great way to motivate and bring the whole community together losing weight. Talk about support! I've read that Oregon is one of the more active states, with less obesity.  With all your hiking, running with Mac and thin, fab shape, you don't need to participate! You can be Camas' roll model of a clean, healthy lifestyle!

Debb, this is truly a terrific localism post. Good "figures" on obesity (couldn't help it, had to do the pun)...you and I both know how important being healthy is. This puts a big (ha!) spotlight on your area--I'm sure we'll be seeing more posts from you about this.

Hey Qman - let's hope  the weight loss for both cities exceeds the goals and great health is a benefit for all who participate. Obesity leads to heart disease and diabetes - so sad considering it's preventable. Wow.

Krisitine - I know that healthy you understands the importance of good health too. Thanks for the sweet words. Incidently, I did Crossfit workouts when I was in Denver visiting my daughter - talk about "kicking my butt." I'm now adding more variety to my work outs...lunges, squats, pull ups, push ups...argh. It never ends. Lol.

Gayle, I could sure use a workout room like yours - see above to Kris. I really do need to switch up my routine, hiking and running doesn't cut it anymore, I have to do more weights and strengthening exercises. ( In my spare time.) Ha. ;) And, I appreciate your "figures" pun.

Dick, I'm rooting for everyone who wants to get healthier and commits to a more active lifestyle. That way, we all win. ;)

Alexandra, good health is paramount if we are to move forward to address our ongoing health crisis in this country. We cannot afford to promote foods and lifestyles that make people sick.  Period. Yes, and we don't have to be PC. Lol with you...

Roy, as much as you walk with that camera of yours, I'm surprised. It must be Dolores's delicious home cooking. :)

Anita. Let's hope both cities, and our nation succeeds at fighting obesity and all the related diseases. D
