My husband and I met some clients/friends (Todd and Lori Truax) at wine shop Vino 100 the other night. Even though it is practically in our backyard, as we live in Tatum Ranch, we had not been into this wine shop for a while. Luckily though, our friends who are pretty much regulars there, called and said "Meet us at the wine shop!" "Which wine shop?" Vino 100!

It was a really nice relaxing time. Great company, wine, cheese, crackers, even some cold beer. A cozy and fun wine shop! Live entertainment, friendly local crowd, and owner Laura McCormack (a friendly, witty, ornery, wine enthusiast who happens to be a Billie Jean King look-alike) made us feel welcome and right at home. This Cave Creek wine shop has a very regular crowd that are fun, chatty and ready to talk, taste, drink and share some wine. My only critique, I would like to see more menu options.

Owner Laura McCormack (right).
“I would say my love of wine started with my first trip to Napa almost 20 years ago when I tasted my first great red wine. It has been an adventure ever since. When the opportunity came up to own Vino 100, I knew I just had to do it. I wanted to be able to create something that had my personal touch. Wine is just a beverage and should not be intimidating. I learn something new every day and just want to share the knowledge with others.”

Bud always loves a good wine shop, great localism post!
Adrian,
That is very cool, however, I would have loved to help them find their AZ home. What do you say? Shall we work out a referral system for the future?
