While it might be a seasonal up swing but agent "busy" indicators seem to be showing an increased in activity during the last two weeks. This is "feel" report not a statistical analysis.
Phone activity: Our office phones are ringing. Some of the increase is due to some new low priced listings and rentals, but that is still good! Appointments seem to be increasing in numbers too.
Open Houses: My last two Saturday open houses have been pretty good with 3 to 4 walkthoughs.
The words "offer" seems to be heard in conversations.
Since December, I've seen more "sold" signs - this is somewhat due catch the end of the year tax season. Plus a few more pending. We even had one home just listed go under contract within a week.
Of those sold, we are still seeing sellers getting 90% of their last listing price - probably closer to 95%.
I thought of this as I was driving by a home for sale this morning at 10am and watched as the potential buyers were walking the grounds.
