Nature has so much to tell if it can only find more people to speak with. Here I am sitting and observing and I come across this little world going on right below me (see pic) by my feet. Various tiny spiders dig these little holes and then wait inside at the center of them for something to come by and fall right into their lap. As the prey tries to climb out, the walls are so unstable that they cannot get a foothold and then..there is only one way out..The spider's kitchen

THAT IS NOT A PEBBLE IN THE CENTER EITHER

BELOW: Notice the various cone-shaped holes. I am watching these and I see something shoveling dirt by throwing it upward and then stillness. If you look real good, that "pebble" in the center of the holes is the spider's abdomen

When you see an insect carefully creating a trap that will benefit it using it's resources and abilities acting this way, you consider it brilliant. By contrast, if a human being sets a trap that ensnares people...it calls into play ethic and moral judgments...Two different life forms at work but only one is blameless

So many of our processes being derived from nature, I wonder if this leads to the term referred to as being belly up.  Someone else may have been watching the arachnid abodes Richie.

Richie, Good analogy. Some of nature's animal characteristics are not so flattering in humans.
