Etagere is the new word of the day.

Etagere is the new word of the day.

I was negotiating a sale and the seller is leaving most of the furniture in the home.  She wrote me a letter stating she wanted to keep this item.  For you ladies and especially you home stagers you should know what this is.  For us guys it is another story.  So my question is to you guys do you know the meaning of today’s word?  Don’t feel embarrassed I didn’t either.  So the meaning of (a ta zher’) is a free-standing set of open shelves for displaying small art objects, ornaments, etc.  Enjoy the day because Life is Good

Lets shake things up at your home today!

If any stager or decorator says they don't know what an etagere is, they need to rethink their careers...............

Most people * not professional stagers * just call them SHELVES * however they have this special name for a reason in the late 18th century....explorers were going to Egypt and the middle east and bringing back small artifacts that they wanted to show off

Well, I have an etagere and it's enclosed so are you telling me it's not an etagere, regardless of the fact I have always referred to it as an etagere? Of course, I refer to my lawn as "the grounds" too. Like I live at a castle.
