A house is constructed of many different rooms, this is obvious and we all know this. However, many people couildn't tell you what room alone got them to buy their home. Some people say it was the spacious bedroom with vaulted ceilings, or the bathroom with a garden tub and heated floors, or maybe even something as small as the closet space was what sold them compared to the competition. Whatever it may be, we all know that one room has the largest impact on every buyer, the kitchen. The kitchen is the heart of the home and one room you will spend time in every single day and maybe even three times a day. Being the heart of the home, you need to treat it like your heart. You like to make sure it is in top condition. Unlike your heart, you like to make sure it looks good. For those of you that watch DesignStar on HGTV, I hope you saw the kitchen that Stanley made and cringed. If you do not watch DesignStar, two of the contestants had to get together and design a kitchen going off from their sink alone. One contestant, Stanley, decided that it would be a great idea to make the pulls on the cabinets these red, white, and black ceramic hands forming different gestures. Here is a picture of the pulls, click here, that almost everyone on pintrest hated. Back to your kitchen though, kitchens are some of the priciest rooms to remodel, however if you update your formica counter tops to granite I guarantee it will help you sell your house in the long run. The counter tops are just an example too, if you love your formica, keep it, redo the cabinets or appliances. Make the kitchen your own kitchen, but stay away from ceramic hand pulls.
