Have you thought about where you work, and how it fits you? Companies, cities, type of client....are you set in your professional ways? Why?

Having an open mind is a wonderful thing. Not to say that we need to jump at every new thing, but we do need to examine how opportunities can fit into our business model. And most importantly, we need to be willing to change when circumstances demand.

Today I agreed to join a dynamic buyer's agent team. Not what I thought I'd be doing this month....but things change. Over the past couple of months, I was looking into a lot of different options. I interviewed several companies in our area to determine whether one of them was a fit for me, or not.

This lead/buyer team is run by someone I respect a great deal. He has put a lot of time and energy and thought into the tools they have available for me and my buyers. He is hands-on but also trusts his agents. This is a rather elite team and I know first hand that they have refused agents who have wanted to join. They are not only taking me in, but allowing me some privileges not given to other members. They are adjusting also for me.

My point? I am adjusting my business plan and model, and so are they. The results? Well, I expect great things. My preconcieved notions about what my business should look like has changed, because I was open to it and not stubborn about my own plans. I find that I can fit into many molds, if I open myself up to doing it.

Off we go!

Barbara: Thanks...I'm excited about it

Doug: No, I can work my own things...and will. But the lead team works broker leads. My broker is a genius at SEO and will have 25-30 leads for me a month. High quality leads who are considered "warm". Veryified emails, phone numbers, interested in some capacity

Cindy: Thanks....I'm sure it will be great

Patricia: I think so....people I already like and supportive environment. Excited motivated people to be around.

Tom: Thanks....just moving forward

Margaret: Thanks...I'm lucky also. And maybe I would have missed this opportunity had things been different.

BB: Exactly.....and if not..then nothing is lost by trying

I'm a little late to the party abou this blog, but 3 years ago, I made a similar decision. Things change and you make similar adjustments in your business to keep moving. I wish you the best of success.

One thing for sure in this business is that there is always going to be change.  Our broker moved on and we started with a whole new owner and manager.  At first it was scary... but now we are finding it is the best thing that could have happened!  Good luck with your new place... Kathy
