Last weekend Debbie and I attended Rio Rancho’s 9th annual Pork & Brew festival.  So sticking to our strong belief not to drink and drive Debbie signed a note of promise at the Pork & Brew and became our designated driver.  I enjoyed couple of cold beers while sampling all that wonderful BBQ but that was two too many to be behind the wheel.  


For signing up and volunteering as Designated driver Debbie got a really great tee shirt and got us home safely.  Remember don’t be stupid in the 100 days of summer... You Drink, You Drive, You Lose!  Either appoint or be a designated driver.

Since I don't drink, I have been that driver many times in my life. Don't mind at all because I know I'm saving at least one persons life if not more.

Much thanks to each of you for dropping by and leaving a comment on Be a Designated Driver.  Again instead of replying here to each of you I have read your post and left a comment on your blog.   Always know you are appreciated!

For the record I never have anything stronger than beer and a couple does it for this kid.  Debbie is a non drinker and always takes the keys without question when there's alcohol involved.  As many of you have pointed out one doesn’t need to be drunk to be impaired so again have or be a designated driver.

Great advise. It just doesn't pay to risk a DUI anymore. Our local paper states it is nearly $13,000 to deal with the legal stuff for the first offense which doesn't include insurance costs. cheers cvc

I already clicked suggested.. All the comments you got and this blog is not featured??? Great advice and more folks need to take the pledge and advice. Don't be stupid as virtually all states have low tolerance for drinking and driving. We like to eat at home most of the time and drink our wine without worrying about driving..

Friends:

It’s great to see we’re all on the same page here ….. Don’t drink and drive!  It’s just stupid and certainly not worth taking the chance of killing and or being killed over.  Again I stress either have or be a designated driver!  You won’t regret it.  

Thanks for noticing and mentioning the orange tag.... It's been there for several months now.  Actually I can't recall when it happen... Imagine that :)

Hello! This is kind of off topic but I need some help from an established blog. Is it difficult to set up your own blog? I'm not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty quick. I'm thinking about creating my own but I'm not sure where to start. Do you have any ideas or suggestions? Thank you

I don't know if it's just me or if perhaps everyone else encountering problems with your blog. It looks like some of the written text on your content are running off the screen. Can someone else please comment and let me know if this is happening to them too? This could be a problem with my web browser because I've had this happen before. Cheers
